RMS BEAUTY Review and Swatches!

RMS Beauty is a luxurious, organic, makeup line. The line-up has all sorts of beautiful shades and colors, and I'd love to try out more, especially the cream eyeshadows. But today I'm going to review a few other things. I've used the "Un" powder, Lip2cheeks, and Living Luminizer for a year now so I feel like I have a good sense of the products. I hope you enjoy~

The Lip2cheeks (0.15oz/4.25g) and the Living Luminizer (0.17oz/4.82g) are packaged in frosted glass jars, with metal screw lid tops. And the "Un" powder (0.32oz/9g) is housed in a frosted plastic jar with a plastic screw lid top and a powder puff inside.

Before "Un" powder (left photo) and after applying a light dusting of "Un" powder (right photo)

"Un" powder is a finely milled setting powder, made solely of silica. This powder is excellent, it's soft to the touch, translucent and absorbs oil like no other! It makes my pores look nearly invisible and leaves behind a natural looking matte finish, that last for 7 hours. It isn't cakey and unless it's layered on too heavily there's no white cast. "Un" powder sets my foundation nicely as well. For some strange reason powders tend to irritate my skin, however this doesn't at all!

Lip2cheek Modest

Lip2cheek Modest is a fresh berry pink. Its texture is emollient and thick, like a moisturizing lip cream. Modest is also surprisingly opaque! It glides on smoothly and has a natural, satin finish. And it wears well, leaving behind a beautiful pink stain that lasts for hours.

Lip2cheek Beloved

Lip2cheek Beloved is a bright poppy red. Its texture is lighter and oilier than Modest, but still has a pleasant balmy texture. This melts into the lips like butter and has a healthy sheen. Beloved won't survive through a bowl of pasta, yet it wears nicely. It applies as a semi-opaque lip tint and settles into a pretty stain. It does bleed slightly, though this doesn't bother me.

Living Luminizer... look at that glow!

Living Luminizer is a stunning pearlized highlight, the antithesis of the glittery highlighter! It's glossy, rich and luminescent. It's feels solid and waxy in the pan, but silky-smooth when applied, like a dry oil. In a strange way the Living Luminizer doesn't have any true color. Although it looks off-white in the jar, on my skin it's simply a dewy sheen. I tested this on my mother who has brown skin and it didn't look white or ashy, just luminous, so I imagine this would look wonderful on any skin tone.

Conclusion: These are fantastic products! I love them all, but for me the true star of the show is the Living Luminizer. It's beautiful and there are not many highlighters like it. The Lip2cheeks both have a light beeswax scent, while the Living Luminzer smells more like castor oil. The price is Mid-range ($34.00-$38.00). I find the Lip2cheeks and the Living Luminzer are best applied with fingers. They're heat sensitive as well, so be sure to store them in a cool place. Everything considered these are lovely products that I think many would enjoy.
